Upon examining a dry painted wall in the light, if you see shiny spots that are inconsistant throughout the wall, this is called flashing. Flashing can occur when paint had different drying times (for example taking a break halfway through painting a wall), when the coats of paint are uneven, or even on windy days. The best way to take care of a flashing problem is to apply an even coat of paint on top, corner to corner of the wall to ensure consistancy. This was your tip of the day from your Colorado Springs painting contractor, RC Painting.
